Description

Pronounced "pidgey" but I left the Y off to be cool and stuff.
This was a character design that started off with just a fellow 3D modeler(interns for "guerilla games" over in europe), HEAPS my senior as far as skill level with Maya and Max goes, digging my "style" or whathaveyou, and wanting to model something of mine. Something new, heh -__- He wanted a little girl character.. with a side kick and a nice bit of accesories and a big gun... or something.

I ended up making a little story to go along with her because... i kinda of HAVE to now. Habitual? But yes, fell thru because we hooked up RIGHT before my finals last semster and I kept putting it on the backburner. It has promise me thinks. I plan on doing some stuff with her over this next break as well. If you check my scraps section I have 7 other junk sketches mostly from the same big peice of paper of me working with her.. also I have front and sides of her head. Ultimately, Id like to concoct some big riddiculous story for her and pitch it as a game? Possibly? I dunno.. peep the others in scraps [link] .

Also.. I set it up like this because I want to be like Sean Galloway [link] (cheeks) when I grow up :) Check him out.. dude's stuff is fire.

hey man thanx for the awesome comment, and sticking up for me...pacman is a good buddy of mine, and we have done colabs together... he is an amazing artist isnt he? i was coming over to checkout your work when I saw this on your homepage...love the set-up and thanx for the props...you already got it going on... keep at it because good things do come to those who hang in there...

the coloring palatte you chose is nice... i'm a fan of earth tone colors...you did it reall well here...my only suggestion would be to use cooler colors; such as blues or purples, to push depth..that'll really give it a good 3-d feel....i guess it's worked for me...that's what i gathered from other artist's comments and crits... keep at it, and when i get the chance i'll peep the rest of your gallery...
best
